Second you have to update the client outside of MM2 as I mentioned, so the issue is when they update CC garbage and the client needs updating, steam can not distinguish that it is still there and want's to download the full monty. Pre First Mods get updated to require the updated client.įirst MM2 removes "in appearance" F04 from steam's recognition of it's install. Or instead, just keep copies of the fallout exe and when it gets updated, replace it with the previous version. Each version of the fallout exe has a corresponding f4se and each version of f4se has a corresponding mod version. The mods aren't malfunctioning, they are functioning as intended. If you do update the game deliberately or accidentally then you do have to update f4se and the mods that depend on f4se too. Don't launch the game via Steam because that will trigger the update.
